STANISLAVSKI SYSTEM, founded by the great Russian director, actor, philosopher Konstantin Stanislavski, is the very first approach to 'Method Acting' that developed in the early 20th century at the Moscow Arts Theatre, and later adopted by several Western practitioners including Lee Strasberg, and Stella Adler.

These techniques are built on Stanislavski system, developed by the Russian actor and director Konstantin Stanislavski.

Students must strive to achieve psycho-physical union while in character in order to build and live in characters with nuances and colors.
Through acting training, exercises, improvisations, emotional memory, and the Method of Physical Action, the System aims to transform the student into the character and live the role, both on film and stage.
We are the only studio in Texas where one can learn the truest, most authentic form of Stanislavski Method, including the original System that developed in the Moscow Arts Theatre of Russia, and the revised Method of Physical Action, that was formed when Mr. Stanislavski was living in Paris.

Students with little or no experience are introduced to building characters with dialogues through exercises, script breakdown and improvisation, while learning the Technical acting with the camera. Students with stage experience will learn the difference of acting on film vs. theatre. Some acting background is always necessary for even our beginner classes.
This class allows matured teen students with prior approval.
Students learn the original Stanislavski Method of Physical Action through exercises that enhance their acting skills, and develop character. Exercises, Improvisation, sense and emotional memory exercise are used to help students make character choices while maintaining the technical aspect of on-camera acting.
Serious students classes start working with challenging materials, and longer scripts. This class allows the participation of students who are ready to move forward to learn and apply the System into more complex scenes, intense monologues and interesting improvisation exercises.
Classes work with your habits, and prepare you for auditions.
Class focuses on cold reads, scene study, emotional choices, blocking and scapes. Students use various exercises to enhance their acting skills, and form and stay in character, by using the Method of Physical Action, and emotional memory. Students learn to explore texts and include blocking in their curriculum, so they can start hitting the marks and stay in character, while finding their moments, all at the same time. Class will also focus on the dramatics of on-camera acting with improv, truth and belief. Intensive on-camera works help students work in an inspired manner with every script and can turn their characters on without missing a beat.
Students use various exercises to enhance their acting skills, and form and stay in character, by using the Method of Physical Action, and emotional memory. They learn to explore texts and include blocking in their curriculum, so they can start hitting their marks and stay in character, while finding their moments, all at the same time.
Session includes scene works, monologue study, commercial copies, mock audition and acting for post production. For Serious Students only, as this class will train students for booking roles, working on the set, therefore will offer feedbacks that you need to be prepared for.

This class is for trained actors who are applying Stanislavski to their texts and finding their strength and weaknesses while performing in class.
Classes focus on intensive scene works, monologues, improvisation and moments. Students are usually working actors and come with a lot of training. They are expected to handle cold reading, cue card reading, spontaneous shoots and other aspects of on-camera acting.
Scripts and exercises can be challenging. Therefore, this class requires approval to join. Please email nextactorstudio@gmail.com for info.

Actor, Entrepreneur and NBA icon Rick Fox (He's Got Game, Greenleaf) had to get in and out of character for his role in the Next Actor Studio feature A Curry on an American Plate. While on set in Houston, Fox spoke about his dependence on Stanislavski to constantly switch between the heavy and lighter version of the same role on the same day.
